When you become a mom, your entire life shifts. Everything changes–your body, your mind, your priorities, your life. It is truly AMAZING how much you learn and grow during this time. Let’s be real–it is also SO hard. The hardest thing you will ever do. At the same time, you can never truly know quite how much you can love someone or something until you become a mom.

I started this blog because I absolutely love connecting with moms and helping them simplify their new life. I know that when I first started this journey, I was constantly doing research. I still am, actually. I know that there is so much conflicting advice and information, and that once I learned certain tips and tricks, those tips became game-changers. The less time I spent on research, trial, and error in my own life, the more time I was able to spend enjoying it.

Why Should You Trust Me?

There’s SO much information to wade through in these early days of motherhood. Outside of this blog, I’m a librarian. As a librarian, my job is to sift through the alllll the information out there and simplify and condense it. I’m also a mom (obviously). My daughter is a year and a half, and I’m finally feeling like I have some extra time on my hands.

My personal journey into motherhood was ROUGH (you can read more about that here). I knew having a baby would be difficult, but the reality of it hit me like a ton of bricks. Let me just tell you that if there was a frequent flyer card for pediatrician visits, ours would have been maxed out. However, the benefit to all of those visits was that as new parents, my husband and I learned a heck of a lot. We are lucky enough to see an amazing pediatrics team, and all of those visits helped us to be better parents, and to be more knowledgeable about pediatric care.

Don’t get me wrong–I am in no way a healthcare professional–I’m just a mom doing my best. But, I do try to keep up with current trends and research, to listen to my pediatrician team, and to parent with safety and practicality.

So glad to meet you!
